In 2024, I won 2 programming competitions. Met loads of people from around the world who said my idea was good. Met people who said they could help me get financial resources to continue building idea.

Out of these encounters, nothing came to fruition. I feel very frustrated but I am not surprised. I wanted to try something different and go beyond my comfort zone.

My conclusion of these experiences is like being in a school where no matter what you do, you still can’t get the group of cool kids to accept you into their clique. As time goes on from all the escapades you’ve embroiled yourself into, you realise you don’t even want to be part of the cool kids group anymore.

All the crap you put yourself through has actually made you a better version of yourself. You’ve learnt more about people and how to be truly cool regardless of other opinions.

So I think a lot of those competitions and networking events I went to are genuinely full of crap. The people I used to respect, I don’t respect them anymore because they don’t have anything real to respect.

That’s why I want to make money alone and independently through trading. Earning is unlimited because there are no politics to interfere. My time is better spent finding a way to make money alone than searching for a community.
